Located at the Shops at Legacy in Plano, Julep Boutique opened in fall of 2011. Owner Cheryl McDonald is a California native and has deeps roots in retail. After a break from the industry to raise her daughters and time spent living in Chicago, she returned to Texas and Plano’s Shops at Legacy moved her to return to retail.

Cheryl described her store as “a retail niche for women, specializing in soft and fluid fabrics.” She wanted the boutique’s style to reflect the casual and resort lifestyle with an emphasis on natural fibers. She finds inspiration in iconic women like Jennifer Aniston, Kate Hudson, and Jessica Alba. She also loves old-school, California girl, Peggy Lipton of the Mod Squad.

Julep customers have loved the trendy neoprene/scuba fabrics this year. Cheryl loves stocking Cynthia Vincent, SW3 Bespoke, and Show Me Your MuMu along with Red23, Wilt, Michael Stars, and Heather for knits. Catherine Page’s jewelry is highly requested by her customers as well.

Cherly plans on focusing on layered looks for Spring as well as a great variety of swim wear, cover-ups and resort dresses. She is excited to feature more prints, wide leg pants, and sheer and lace details.
Julep is continuing to grow its personal styling services, online sales, and Toyota’s Plano relocation and new clientele. And as always, FIG looks forward to having Julep back at FIG Finale!
