Celebrity Inspired Style :: Alexa Chung

posted by: FIG

Are you enjoying MBFW in New York as much as we are?! Celebrities have been sitting in coveted front row seats for every show, while rocking some major street style. This celeb head-to-toe is inspired by the beautiful Alexa Chung attending a show during fashion week.

Alexa’s outfit is perfect for transitioning from summer into fall. We love how she paired a tailored shirt and blouse with menswear inspired loafers and a boxy bag. The style elements are simple, classic, and we suspect easy to wear. Create your look with these similar elements.

The Tara Shirt by Paige offers the menswear look with a feminine feel. Thick seams will draw your eye into the blouse, creating a sleek shape. Keep your cuffs down like Alexa, or roll them slightly to reveal a bold watch or bracelets. A white blouse is a style staple for any closet.

Alexa’s shorts are all about the tailoring, which is why we love this pair by Rebecca Minkoff. The wool blend can be worn with bare legs or paired with tights when the temperatures start dropping. The high waist will give your menswear look a ladylike shape, while vertical stripes elongate your hips.

Yosi Samra is known for his bendable ballet flats, but we love these Preslie loafers in black. Available in all leather, or a mix of leather and pony hair; these flats are sure to be one of your seasonal favorites.

Nothing completes a look better than the perfect handbag. The Cosmopolitan Bag by Trina Turk is the ultimate cross-body turned satchel with the help of a removable chain. The two-toned leather will help you accessorize many outfits, and we can’t resist the studded detail in the middle of the bag. Carry yours like Alexa, or wear it with the strap for a hands-free day.

I do not think that I will be able to attend this year. The prgoarm sounds fantastic! I hope you will repeat this prgoarm, and also arrange for press trips. I will attend the event in NY.The information will be useful in my teachings and writings. Thanks,Harriet

Don't worry if you miss one??? Ruthie, you obviously are not as obssesed as I am! Actually, you're right. Most people won't be there on business, trying to cram it all into a minimum amount of time. Hope to see you sometime.
