Store Spotlight :: Flirt Boutique

posted by: FIG

We are back for our 2nd round of “Store Spotlights” with Dallas & Fort Worth based Flirt Boutique! A frequent FIG buyer and Finale participant, store owner, Liz Albert, has not always been a part of the fashion industry. After a career as a corporate attorney in Dallas, Albert decided she needed a change. She had been a loyal customer of the original, Dallas Flirt location, owned by 2 good friends back in 2009, and decided to open a Fort Worth store. A few years later, she purchased the Dallas location too.

Liz describes the boutiques as “fashionable, yet affordable.” They take pride in customers being able to find a full outfit for under $150 that is still on-trend. With brands like James Jeans, Kris Nations, Eight Sixty, BB Dakota, BCBG and more, Flirt carries wardrobe basics with a little edge. As the stores’ owner, Liz loves taking risks when buying. In January, she was all over jumpsuits and maxis for spring. Chloe Oliver is a new favorite line she recently added (they can be found in SHOP at our upcoming Fall 1 market) and is continuing to add to the Kris Nations pieces they carry (located in Focus Showroom).

Come March, Liz will be focusing on bright pieces for Spring and Pre-Fall & praying for that warmer weather to so she can prop open her doors and enjoy the sun!

Thanks for this post, Jeff. It is a crucial probelm for so many staff and volunteer committees. We especially find it true in the area of sustainable meetings where the old guard is out of touch with what younger attendees require. Most would happily give up fresh sheets changed daily for free inroom wifi and prefer a conference app to a large printed program.The world of meetings is changing rapidly, it is vital we keep up!Nancy Zavada
