FIG to Honor Cynthia Vincent at October Market

DALLAS — Fashion Industry Gallery expects a fairly full house for its spring market Oct. 25 to 27, when it will feature an appearance by guest designer Cynthia Vincent of 12th Street.
“October is our biggest market of the year by far,” said Emma Greathouse, FIG director. “It always has a good following.”
Vincent will be feted with a cocktail party on Oct. 25 from 6 to 8 p.m. Her line can be seen in the Shop temporary area on the second floor of the building.
The Shop show will be full with about 50 booths representing about 300 labels, Greathouse said.
New to Shop are Sen Collection, whose draped silk tops and dresses launched in February and are already sold in 21 states; French Curve embroidered silk dresses made in India; Carolina Loyola semiprecious contemporary jewelry, and Bluebird Showroom, a Los Angeles agency specializing in casual contemporary fashion and accessories.
Permanent space is also filling up.
“We’re nearing occupancy levels that we haven’t seen for a while,” said Matt Roth, chief executive officer, adding that FIG is about 93 percent full. “We’ve had a lot of interest from people who are here in temporary [space] and ready to take the next step.”
Two sales agents moved into bigger spaces. Level Showroom of Atlanta expanded into gallery 108 to show BB Dakota plus Wildfox and other labels; and Los Angeles agency West Bank nearly doubled in size by taking gallery 100. West Bank shows Single and other lines.
The FIG show takes place at 1807 Ross Avenue in Dallas. Hours are 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Oct. 25 and Oct. 26, and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Oct. 27.
